The annual Christmas Pageant happens the Sunday closest to Saint Nicholas Day, which this year is December 10th, 2006 at 4:00 pm. All children are welcome to participate. A Saint Nicholas party follows the pageant complete with the tradition of coins and oranges left in shoes. Saint Nicholas also makes an appearance during the Sunday morning liturgy, discussing his history as Bishop and the patron saint of children.
